# Send exclusive coupons to customers who favorite a store (with Discount Deck)

> An example setup that combines MultiLikes store favorites with Discount Deck to issue an exclusive coupon only to customers who favorite a store, and show it in the coupon list on their account page.

## What you can do

Customers who favorite a store automatically receive that store's exclusive coupon. Discount Deck shows the coupon in the coupon list on their account page, so customers can use it without hunting for the code.

* Give a 10% off coupon only to customers who favorite your Shibuya store
* Invite customers to favorite a new store before it opens, and give those who do an opening coupon

### What customers see

1. They favorite the store they visit on your store list page
2. The exclusive coupon appears in the coupon list on their account page
3. They copy the coupon code and use it at checkout

## How it works

MultiLikes, Shopify Flow, Shopify customer segments and discounts, and Discount Deck connect in this order.

| Step | What you use | What it does |
| - | - | - |
| 1 | MultiLikes and Shopify Flow | Adds the favorited store to the customer as a customer tag (for example, `お気に入り店舗_渋谷店`) |
| 2 | Shopify customer segments | Groups the customers who have that tag |
| 3 | Shopify discounts | Creates a coupon for that segment |
| 4 | Discount Deck | Shows the coupon on the account page of customers in the segment |

Once it is set up, customers who favorite the store after you launch the campaign also receive the coupon automatically.

>
> When a customer removes a store from their favorites, the customer tag is removed and they leave the segment and the coupon's eligibility. The reward goes only to customers who keep the store in their favorites.

## Apps you need

* MultiLikes
* Discount Deck
* Shopify Flow

## Setup

**1. Set up store favorites**

Register your stores in MultiLikes and add favorite buttons to your store list page. See [Setting up brand and store favorites](/en/apps/multilikes/setup/brand-store-favorites) for the steps.

**2. Reflect favorited stores as customer tags**

Import the Shopify Flow template and turn it on. When a customer favorites a store, the customer tag `お気に入り店舗_store name` is added. Download the template from [\[Store favorites\] Reflect favorited stores as customer tags](/en/apps/multilikes/flows/store-favorite-customer-tag).

**3. Create a customer segment**

In the Shopify admin, go to Customers > Segments > Create segment and create a segment with this condition:

customer_tags CONTAINS 'お気に入り店舗_渋谷店'
```

Replace `渋谷店` with the store name exactly as you registered it in MultiLikes.

**4. Create the exclusive coupon**

In the Shopify admin, go to Discounts and create a discount code. Set customer eligibility to "Specific customer segments" and choose the segment from the previous step.

> Discount Deck shows discount codes. Create a discount code rather than an automatic discount.

**5. Show it on the account page with Discount Deck**

In the Discount Deck coupon list, select the coupon you created and press the button to show the selected coupons on the account page. See [Step 1: Choose which coupon codes appear on the account page](/en/apps/discount-deck/setup/step1-select-coupons) for the steps.

If you have turned on [Automatic Coupon Display](/en/apps/discount-deck/setup/auto-display-exclusion), the coupon appears as soon as you create it, so you can skip this step.

## Going further

### Let customers know their coupon has arrived

With Discount Deck's "Coupon issued" trigger, you can send an email such as "Your exclusive coupon has arrived" when a customer receives the coupon by favoriting a store. See [Coupon issued notification](/en/apps/discount-deck/flows/coupon-issued-notification) for the setup.

### Target several stores at once

Join conditions with `OR` to put customers who favorite any of several stores into one segment. This works well for area-limited coupons.

### Send exclusive coupons for favorite brands

Brand favorites work the same way. Use the Shopify Flow template from [\[Brand favorites\] Reflect favorited brands as customer tags](/en/apps/multilikes/flows/brand-favorite-customer-tag) instead, and set the segment condition to `customer_tags CONTAINS 'お気に入りブランド_brand name'`.
