# AL CustomerMetaSync integration

> The favorite stores that customers choose on the AL CustomerMetaSync sign-up form are added to their MultiLikes store favorites automatically, so you can start store-based CRM from the moment a customer signs up.

## What is AL CustomerMetaSync?

AL CustomerMetaSync is a Shopify app by Alquimista Co.,ltd. that collects customer information at sign-up.

* Shows a member registration form right after login to collect birthday, gender, phone number, and more. It works with new customer accounts.
* Saves the collected information to Shopify customer metafields.
* Supports text and date fields, dropdowns (single and multiple choice), on/off toggles, and file uploads.
* Forms can also be placed on the profile page, the Thank you page, and the Order status page, so you can keep collecting and updating customer information after sign-up.

## What the MultiLikes integration does

Add a "favorite stores" field to the AL CustomerMetaSync registration form, and the stores a customer picks are added to their MultiLikes store favorites automatically.

* **Know each customer's favorite stores from sign-up**: There is no need to wait for customers to press the favorite button on a store page. You can connect stores and customers from the day they sign up.
* **Customers can choose more than one store**: Customers can pick all the stores they often visit.
* **Changes on the account page are reflected**: When customers update their favorite stores on the account page form, their MultiLikes store favorites are updated to match. Stores they deselect are removed from their favorites.
* **Works just like the favorite button**: Favorites added this way count toward each store's favorite count, appear in the favorites list, and fire MultiLikes Shopify Flow triggers.

## How it works

AL CustomerMetaSync and MultiLikes are connected through Shopify Flow.

**1. The customer chooses favorite stores on the form**

On the member registration form or the account page form, the customer chooses their favorite stores. The choices are saved to a customer metafield.

**2. An AL CustomerMetaSync trigger starts Shopify Flow**

When the form is submitted, an AL CustomerMetaSync trigger starts a Shopify Flow workflow.

**3. The stores are reflected in MultiLikes store favorites**

The workflow calls a MultiLikes action that reflects the chosen stores in the customer's MultiLikes store favorites.

## Using it for CRM

Because you know each customer's favorite stores from sign-up, you can start store-based CRM right away.

### Turn favorite stores into customer tags

Combine this with the [\[Store favorites\] Reflect favorited stores as customer tags](/en/apps/multilikes/flows/store-favorite-customer-tag) Shopify Flow, and favorite stores added through AL CustomerMetaSync also become customer tags (for example, `お気に入り店舗_Downtown Store`). When customers change their choices on the account page, the tags change with them.

Build Shopify segments from these customer tags to narrow down customers by favorite store.

### Campaign ideas

* **New arrivals and sales at a favorite store**: Announce new arrivals and sales to each store's segment with Shopify Email or another email tool.
* **Store-only coupons and in-store perks**: Send coupons or in-store perks only to customers who favorited a store, and turn online visitors into in-store shoppers.
* **Store event invitations**: Invite the customers who chose a store to its events and trunk shows.
* **Follow-up from store staff**: See your members by favorite store and use it for outreach and follow-up from store staff.
