# Cancel an order

> When you cancel the parent order, the child order for each address is canceled too. How canceling works and how to check it.

## Cancel the whole order

To cancel the whole order, cancel the **parent order**. The app cancels the child orders automatically.

**1. Cancel the parent order**

Open the parent order tagged **複数配送**, and choose **Cancel order** from **More actions**. Choose the refund and restocking options as you would for a regular order.

**2. The child orders are canceled**

The app cancels every child order created from that parent order. Child orders are ¥0, so there's no refund, and the customer doesn't receive cancellation emails for the child orders.

**3. Check that they were canceled**

Filter the orders list by the tag **親注文:#1033** (the parent order number) and check that the child orders are canceled.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Refunds and restocking are handled when you cancel the parent order. Canceling the child orders doesn't restock items a second time.

## If only some addresses need to be canceled

We don't recommend canceling only some addresses (canceling just a child order). Refunds are handled on the parent order and shipping on the child orders, so canceling only a child order leaves the parent and child orders out of step and makes them harder to manage.

If the customer wants to remove or change an address, cancel the whole order with the steps above and ask the customer to place the order again with the correct addresses. This keeps your orders clean.
